It was cool to see the Deaf community being represented in the opening ceremonies last night. Evelyn Glennie, a Deaf drummer, played the drums. There was also a signing choir, filled with both Deaf and hearing children, who sang and signed. It would have been nicer if the camera had actually been focused on them to fully enjoy the signing aspect of it.
Also, Guam is a little island that will forever have a special place in my heart. I was born there. Even though I have never been a citizen of Guam, I feel connected. I was a little sad that the network went right to commercial before Guam entered. Personally, I think that the parade of nations should be commercial free so that everyone can see all the countries enter.
